Term 3 (2020)
Welcome back from the Christmas break, and to those new to our Nursery, welcome to our setting!
Just a few points to help get into the routine of our sessions. The weather remains changeable so please ensure that your child is dressed and equipped to cope with sudden changes in weather conditions. We advise that you send your child in with spare changes of clothes just in case they require changing. Please be aware that it remains your responsibility to check on spare changes of clothes for your child.
Each term we base our learning around a story. This term our story will be 'The Three Little Pigs'. There will also be suggested Home Learning tasks that you can do with your child. This can be brought in and shared with their friends and also used as part of their Learning Journey books. Don't forget that we welcome contributions from home- this can be in the form of photographs, brief descriptions of what you observe your child doing or a piece of art work that they have produced.
If you know of anyone who is interested in a Nursery place, please feel free to mention us and to pass on details to the Office on 01752 567668.
We have a cashless system called 'Parent Pay' which can be accessed via a home computer, tablet or mobile phone app. This will need to be used to pay for school lunches, snack and top up fees where applicable. IT DOES NOT INCLUDE LUNCH CLUB SESSIONS. In order to access this you will be issued with login information from office staff. What was formerly known as the 'Snack Fund'is now called 'Curriculum Enrichment' on the Parent Pay app. If you are unsure of this, please call the office for further details.
In the interests of saving paper and the environment, all information will be relayed to parents via the school website. It is in your interest to check this frequently to keep abreast of what is happening in school.
Don't forget that your child's learning journey books are available for you to look through with your child during our Welcome Times in the morning. Please feel free to look through them and complete any feedback sheets.
We are on the look out for any old mobile phones which are unwanted for the children to play with in their role play games and empty roll on deodorant dispensers to use for painting activities. If you can help with either, your donations will be gratefully received. Newspaper is also being used rapidly due to the frantic activity on the painting table so we will happily receive them to cover our tables! We also welcome any small boxes, containers which could be used for junk modelling.
We welcome into the Unit, more new children in the Nursery and in the process of organising home visits for new entrants. If you have any queries about the sessions or would like to alter the sessions please get in touch with Mr. Chan. Alternatively, please call the school office on 567668 for further information or to organise a visit to the unit. We are also happy to speak to prospective parents about Nursery provision for new children- please leave contact details with office staff and we will discuss your child's needs in due course.
