Governing Body

 Chair of Governor Statement

Hello and welcome to Stuart Road Primary Academy

Our aim at Stuart Road Primary Academy is to nurture and encourage all our pupils to fulfil their full potential. We want them to be happy to come to school and for them to enjoy their learning. Our staff and volunteers work hard to give the pupils a wide range of opportunities both inside school and by using the resources of our wider community.

Since September 2018 the school has partnered with High Street Primary Academy under our Executive Headteacher Mr Frame, and since October of 2019 we have combined what were two separate Governing Bodies into one overarching Board of Governors. We meet six times per year. I am delighted to Chair this group of committed colleagues, some of whom have long experience of Governorship and others who are new but highly talented in areas relevant to the life of our school. We represent parents, staff, REACH South Multi Academy Trust, and other areas of our community. We work with the school leadership team and REACH South MAT to provide support and challenge to the leadership team within the overall framework of the vision and strategic direction of the school. As Governors we are committed to supporting the delivery of high standards of teaching for all pupils so that they develop a love of learning and an understanding of the world around them, finishing in Year 6 well prepared for secondary school.
