Special Educational Needs at Stuart Road Primary
SENCO: Michelle Riley
At Stuart Road we are committed to providing a varied and inclusive curriculum for all our pupils, encouraging children to strive to achieve and exceed goals set. We believe that all children deserve the very best start in life, and we aim to provide this for all our pupils.
Full support is provided for all children with SEND requirements through a range of strategies and interventions that are matched to pupil need with an aim to overcome barriers to learning.
Parents are fully involved in the process of identifying and monitoring pupils with SEND, and precise targets are set, monitored and reviewed regularly throughout the year.
We have a strong commitment to developing and training our staff, providing them with the information and resources needed to support additional needs in the classroom.
Excellent care, guidance and support contributes significantly to pupils’ personal development to make them all feel safe and secure and make the best possible academic and personal progress.
The SEND School Information Report, and School Offer can all be found on our website.
