Parents' Support Advisor

Welcome to the Parent Support Advisor Page

My name is Sharon Cantrell and I am the Parent Support Advisor employed by Stuart Road Primary School.

I am a non teaching member of staff working alongside parents/carers offering support and impartial advice when needed. This is a confidential service.

On Friday mornings I hold a free ‘Stop for Coffee’ in the dining hall from 9am till 10.30am, this is a chance to meet other parents/carers and relax before rushing off to go shopping or tackle the housework. Occasionally I will invite somebody in to speak about issues i.e. Working Links, see the newsletter or website for more details.

Alongside the ‘Stop for Coffee’ there are 5 volunteer parents who run a Credit Union. This is an opportunity to save flexibly towards occasions such as Christmas or holidays. If you would like to find out more or if you have a couple of hours free on a Friday morning to volunteer to help with the Credit Union pop in for a coffee and talk to us we would love to meet you

I will be working full time now covering 2 schools, Stuart Road Primary School and College Road Primary School I can be contacted Monday-Friday, term time by phone and will be at Stuart Road Wednesday am, Thursday all day, Friday all day. If you need to see me outside these times please contact me and I will make arrangements to see you as soon as possible.
