Key Information

Stuart Road is a Victorian School dating from 1893 and is situated about 10 minutes from the centre of Plymouth in a quiet residential area.

The school has around 225 children on roll. The school is single form entry so we only have one class per year group. This has allowed us to develop a close knit environment where children know all the adults in school and are able to approach anyone for support.

Green space is limited but we have worked hard to develop our garden area. We make good use of the local environment and have many strong links with the local community.

We have strong links with our local secondary schools which allow us to enhance our curriculum.

The school holds the International Schools Award that recognises the work that the school has done in developing children’s wider understanding of the world around them. We also hold the Healthy Schools Plus award which ensures that all children have the skills and knowledge to lead a healthy lifestyle.

On site is a Breakfast/Holiday and Afterschool Club which many of our children attend.

We firmly believe in a co-operative approach to support the learning of our children - valuing the important role you, as parents and carers, have to play in making your child’s education as successful as possible.

We look forward to working in partnership with you.
